How to have data deleted from Molehill. Last updated 1 November 2026

If you have a Molehill account

  1. In the app, open Settings → Connections and disconnect a source to stop collection and schedule deletion of that source's data; or Settings → Account → Close account to delete everything.
  2. Or email [email protected] from your account email with the subject "Delete my data".
  3. Store, storefront and advertising data is deleted within 30 days; backups expire within 90 days; billing records are kept for 7 years as Estonian accounting law requires. We confirm by email when deletion is complete.

If you connected through Facebook or Instagram

Removing Molehill under Facebook Settings → Apps and websites, or removing the Molehill partner from your ad account in Business settings, revokes our access. Email [email protected] to have already-collected advertising data deleted; we respond within 30 days.

If you connected a Shopify store

Uninstalling the app triggers deletion automatically through Shopify's data-erasure request. Customer data requests and erasures sent through Shopify are honoured within the times Shopify requires.

If you connected a Google account or property

Remove the Molehill service account from your Google Analytics property (Admin → Property access management), or revoke Molehill under your Google account's third-party access. Already-collected data is deleted on request within 30 days.

If you are a customer of a store that uses Molehill

Contact the store; it is the controller of your data. We act on the store's instructions and support its response. If you cannot reach the store, email [email protected] with the store's name and we will help route the request.

Deletion requests are free and need no account. We may ask you to confirm the request from the email address on the account, so that nobody can delete your data but you.
